Plans for ‘Hangover III’ are in full swing, with actor John Goodman set to join in with the calamity crew for the third instalment of the comedy franchise.

The 60-year-old actor looks set to play an antagonist and his part is believed to be a similar one to Paul Giamatti’s role of Kingsley in last year’s ‘Hangover II’, Variety reports.

‘Hangover’ stars Bradley Cooper (Phil), Zach Galifiankis (Alan) and Ed Helms (Stu) will all return to their respective roles.

And it seems boxer Mike Tyson might have caught the cameo bug as he has confirmed he will join the crew again for the upcoming film.

Details of the script are top secret at the moment, but we’re sure director Todd Philips and Craig Mazin will be able to work their comedy magic again. What we do know is that the project is expected to see Phil and Stu attempt to break Alan out of a mental hospital…

It is said director Philips is keen to sign on Sean Penn and Robert Downey Jr up for cameo roles in the movie too.

The motion picture will return to its US roots and be shot in Las Vegas, where the first movie was filmed, just off the city’s famous strip at Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino.

It is tipped John Goodman could have a similar part to Paul Giamatti in ‘Hangover II’

Old-school ‘Hangover’ veterans Ken Jeong (Leslie Chow) and Mike Epps (Black Doug) are also reprising their roles for the third instalment of the franchise, as well as Heather Graham, who played Las Vegas stripper Jade in the first instalment of the film.

Warner Bros. are planning to release the motion picture on May 24, 2013.
