Here in the Her.ie office there’s nothing we love more than a superhero (Batman, Spidey – how are ya?) and one of our favourite superheroes ever is Iron Man, mainly because we associate him with Robert Downey Jr.
Yes, we love a bit of RDJ (or “Ride du Jour” as one enthusiastic member of the Her.ie team calls him) so, understandably, we were a bit upset today when we learned that he’s had an accident.
The Irish Independent reports that poor Robert has injured his ankle while filming the next Iron Man movie (Iron Man 3). Apparently, Robert’s accident means that the production of the film is being delayed, so it could affect when the movie hits our screens.
RDJ’s injury is delaying the production of Iron Man 3.
Marvel Entertainment, the people behind the film, issued a statement which said the following: “Robert Downey Jr sustained an ankle injury on the set of Iron Man 3 in Wilmington, North Carolina while performing a stunt. There will be a short delay in the production schedule while he recuperates.”
Hey Robert, we’re sorry to hear that you’re hurt and probably in pain, but if you need a nurse make sure you give us a shout. We’re not medically trained, but by god do we know how to fluff a pillow (and give a sponge bath if needed, wink, wink!).
