Priscilla and Lisa Marie greet Elvis Presley Fans on the 35th Anniversary of His Death

Priscilla and Lisa Marie Presley stunned Elvis fans when they appeared at a candlelight vigil in Graceland to remember the singer.

The King’s ex wife and his only daughter appeared on a stage set up inside the mansion in Memphis, Tennessee.

Elvis died 35 years ago today

The two women surprised the crowd and thanked fans for their admiration of the rock’n’ roll legend as thousands of people held candles in the air.

According to The Irish Independent, Lisa Marie said she avoided attending these vigils in the past for fear of being overwhelmed.

“I’ve always avoided this because I felt that it would be too emotional, but I really felt it was important to come down here tonight. I love you very very very much,” she said.

Fans flock to Graceland every year to rememeber the music legend

The pair met some of the fans personally and many of them had camped out over night to nab a prime spot at the ceremony.

Every year, thousands of people from all over the world travel to Graceland to honour The King.

The Jailhouse Rock singer died on August 16th 1977 after suffering a heart attack. The music legend battled a long term addiction to prescription drugs and died at the age of 42.
