It turns out it’s not only humans that can have a sweet tooth.
Jo Adams, the owner of the Rocky Mountains Chocolate Factory shop in Colorado, suspected that squirrels had broken into her store after finding empty wrappers and dirt on the counter.
But when Adams checked her new CCTV system, she discovered that a young black bear cub had been the sweet-toothed culprit.
The bear waited until the store was closed before carefully forcing the door open.
He then proceeded to prop himself up on the counter and gorge on some chocolate delights.
The bear left the shop but was soon back for a second helping.
Adams said the bear’s favourites were chocolate-covered Rice Krispie cakes, peanut butter cups, English Toffee and a giant chocolate-covered ‘Cookie Bear’ biscuit.
She said there was no damage done to the shop.
