You’ll need to put your scarf and hat on if you’re out and about tonight as temperatures are expected to drop.
According to Met Éireann, this evening will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain and wintry showers, including rain and sleet, in parts of the country. Ice is also expected to develop on untreated surfaces as temperatures fall to between freezing and minus 3 degrees.
Tomorrow will be cold again with sunny spells and occasional showers. Highest temperatures will be around 4 to 8 degrees. There is a status yellow rainfall warning for Galway, Munster and South Leinster in place until 3.00am on Friday.
The weekend is expected to be very cold starting out but will turn milder with a mix of showers and bright spells.
