Westlife’s Kian Egan insists he will be back as a judge on ‘The Voice of Ireland’ and says he will not be quitting the show for the sake of his career.

The former Westlife star is adamant he is not leaving the show and says rumours that he is walking away from the reality TV talent show are untrue.

The 32-year-old went so far as to say his agent is finalising his contract for the next series.

He told the Irish Daily Mirror this morning he is in talks with the show at the moment.

“I am not planning to quit. I’m in talks with them at the minute-we’re just sorting out dates and things like that. I’m well up for doing ‘The Voice’ again. I don’t know where the idea that I’m not came from. It’s definitely a show I loved doing, I really enjoyed it last year. So I have no reason not to want to do it again. At the moment my agent is doing the deal and sorting it all out.”

Kian recently landed a spot co-presenting Britain’s ‘X-tra Factor’ and it was rumoured the singer was going to settle down in the UK to pursue his television career.

“It’s completely not the case that I’m just going to be working on stuff in the UK. I’m really looking forward to ‘The Voice’ this year.”

The newspaper also reported that the judging panel is unlikely to change, despite producers announcing “a massive shake-up” at the beginning of the week.

Producers say the four judges work well with one another. Presenter Kathryn Thomas has also returned for the second series.

Television ratings were high for the blind auditions but dropped significantly during the live stages of the show in the last series.
