It’s that time of the year again when the lists of the top things of 2014 are being compiled and this week is no different, as the Top 10 most-watched videos of all time were revealed just days after Kim Kardashian’s wedding picture was announced as the most popular Instagram picture in the site’s four-year history.
A few days ago it was revealed that Gangnam Style had literally broken YouTube as the video broke 2,147,483,647 views (yes, that’s over two billion).
That number is the largest number that can be encoded – in other words, YouTube couldn’t handle any more views on the video.
According to reports, the Top Ten videos had Psy leading the way with Gangnam Style on 2.15 billion views. Next up was Justin Bieber’s Baby (1.12 billion), becoming the second video on the channel to notch over one billion views.
In third place is Charlie Bit My Finger (804 million), followed by On the Floor by Jennifer Lopez (794 million), while LMFAO rocked into fifth position on 777 million views with Party Rock Anthem.
The remainder of the top ten included Shakira’s Waka Waka video, Eminem’s The Way You Lie, Psy’s Gentleman, Miley Cyrus’s Wrecking Ball and Katie Perry’s Roar.
Meanwhile One Direction, featuring Mullingar lad Niall Horan, came in at 17th position with What Makes You Beautiful.
