Here at Her.ie we love Gossip Girl. Actually we more than love it. We love it so much, we wish that Serena, Blair and Chuck actually existed in real life. Needless to say, we were all pretty excited when we heard the following bit of entertainment news.
Ladies, Alexa Chung, television presenter and all-around style icon, has officially joined the cast for the final series of Gossip Girl. Yes, really!
The Irish Independent reports that Alexa was spotted alongside Leighton Meester (Blair) and Blake Lively (Serena) filming a few scenes for the series. According to reports, Alexa was doing her best to out-fash the girls by rocking a very cool blue mini dress with red bow detailing and a perfect bright red pout (to match the dress, obvs).

Anyway, it has not yet been confirmed what role Alexa is due to play in the show, but there are rumours flying around the place that she will star as herself and her plot will be intricately involved with the launch of Blair’s new fashion line. Intriguing, right?
We seriously can’t wait to see how Alexa comes off on screen, especially if she’s going to have to deal with the tantrums and demands of Queen B. We expect drama, some amazing outfits and a bit of scandal – sure what would Gossip Girl be without a good bit of scandal, in fairness like!
