Emma Watson has dismissed rumours that she will be playing submissive Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.
The actress was reportedly in talks with producers to play Christian Grey’s sex interest in the film.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Emma said: “I haven’t read the book, I haven’t a read a script, nothing.
“There are so many movies you become attached to when I’ve literally never even received a phone call. It was the same way with The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo – I never even saw a script,” she said.

Emma starred as Hermione in the Harry Potter series.
Emma said her family and friends have quizzed her about the rumours ever since it was reported last week that producers were interested in casting her.
“I told them just because there are 60 articles on the internet doesn’t mean it’s any less true than if there are three or four. The thing is I’m not going to go out there every time someone attaches me to a film to say no or release a statement,” she said.
The actress is best known for her portrayal of Hermione Granger in the popular Harry Potter series and will next star in The Perks of Being A Wallflower.
The 22-year-old also hopes to return to Ivy League Brown University to continue her studies after spending a brief period at Oxford.
