There were a lot of red faces in America over the weekend as one US entertainment website accidentally published an obituary for Kirk Douglas.
The obituary was mistakenly published by People magazine and had DO NOT PUB written at the top of it. The obituary looked back on Douglas’ careers citing him as “one of the few genuine box office names to emerge” and acknowledged the 75 movies that he was in. It also included two photos of the star. The obituary has since been removed.
However, Douglas is actually alive and well and in fact, will be celebrating his 98th birthday later this week.

Kirk Douglas is one of the few lucky people to see what his obit might say once he dies.
