If you should ever find yourself in labour, it’s probably a good idea not to ring One Direction. Sure, their soothing melodies might give you some solace, but if you need to get to a hospital Niall Horan and co will be useless. Fact.
The Irish Sun reports that Niall stood with his hands in his pockets and watched on when a television producer faked going in to labour on a TV show. The worrying thing is that Niall had no idea the “labour” was set up.
In fact, the entire thing was all part of a prank for Nickelodeon, which was set up by Niall’s band mates Louis and Zayn.
We’d like to think that if Niall ever came across a woman experiencing a real labour, he’d be a bit more hands on…or y’know, even a tad bit more helpful.
According to reports, Louis and Zayne wanted to see how Niall, Harry and Liam would react in the face of a crisis and to be honest? Well the results are pretty hilarious.
As Niall watches on, completely unfazed by what’s happening, Harry leaps up and helps the “pregnant” woman with breathing exercises while he continually asks “Why is no one here?!” in a panicked voice.
After a while, the actress finally puts the boys out of their misery by revealing: “You’ve all been pranked by Nickelodeon!”
Harry buries his face in his hands, while Louis and Zayne high-five each other.
So there you go ladies. One Direction: great at delivering catchy pop songs, not so great when it comes to delivering babies…
