Why, only the biggest diva of them all… Step forward Mariah Carey.
It’s being reported today that Mariah is finalising her contract to join the judging panel, and it includes a very generous paycheque. If the deal goes through, Mariah will earn an astonishing $17 million for the season, $2 million more than Britney Spears is being paid as part of the X Factor panel.
We’re excited at the prospect of seeing Mariah on-screen every week, but somewhat disappointed that the contestants will no longer be able to sing her songs. After all, what’s a good audition show without at least one person butchering ‘Hero’?
