James Arthur has reportedly split from his girlfriend Jessica Grist after 12 months of dating.
The Impossible singer, who won The X Factor two years ago, is back on the market according to The Sun newspaper.
A source told the publication: “James is absolutely gutted. He thought Jessica was The One and was looking forward to a bright future. But his touring schedule and dedication to his new music resulted in them seeing less and less of each other.”
The insider added that there is a plus side: “They’re both pals and it ended on a good note. He’ll be pouring his heartbreak into writing his new album. It’ll give him some good material.”
James (26) hasn’t had the smoothest journey since he won the singing competition in 2012. Earlier this year he was dropped by his record label, Syco, following a number of Twitter outbursts.
James and Jessica are no longer together.
