We Have Celebrity Wedding Fever This Summer

We have our outfits picked out for the nuptials of our favourite stars this year!

Her

Everyone loves a wedding and the glimpse of a shiny ring on a celebrity finger is always greeted with enthusiasm in the Her.ie office. So far this summer we’ve seen the nuptials of the Tipperary born Satuday Una Healy and her rugby hunk Ben Foden and only a few weeks ago Aoife Cogan walked down the aisle to marry Gordon D’Arcy in a beautiful head piece and stunning dress. We’re expecting so many high-profile wedding dos this year and we’ve been keeping an eye on some of our favourite fiancés. We’ve even squeezed in a few Irish brides and grooms for your pleasure. We have our wedding outfits picked out already!

Brad and Angelina

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in a baby carriage didn’t exactly go to plan with Brangelina. Hugely publicised divorces and choirs of ‘home-wrecker’ are not the stuff of fairy tales but these two have decided to tie the knot. Angelina is now the proud owner of a $500,000 diamond ring and if reports from last week are anything to go by the couple plan to marry in a low-key ceremony in Windsor Castle in the near future. The engagement has come under fire from Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender rights organisations as Pitt promised in March that he would not marry until everyone had the right to. Way to go back on your word, Brad!

Chris O’Dowd and Dawn Porter

The star of Bridesmaids is getting hitched to UK television personality Dawn Porter. The Roscommon man proposed to his girlfriend of three years during Christmas 2011. The actor tweeted afterwards ‘I’m so bored of all this happiness and sex. I’m getting married.’ The couple is set to wed later this summer with their dog Potato taking on the role as ring bearer.

Brian McFadden and Vogue Williams

The former Westlife singer proposed to his girlfriend of eight months Vogue Williams in January. The engagement followed the breakdown of McFadden’s four-year relationship with Australian singer Delta Goodrem. The couple, who are both Irish, plan to marry in Florence Italy this September. Former ‘Fade Street’ star Vogue said she is hoping to have a low-key and fun wedding day.

Ann Hathaway and Adam Shulman

This Hollywood golden girl is currently sliming down and living on a diet of hummus and radishes for her latest role in the film adaptation of Les Miserablés. Supporting a new cropped hair do we don’t see the starlet and her fiancé walking down the aisle in the immediate future but we really do love this pairing.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth

These two lovebirds got engaged earlier this summer and we’re delighted. Although Miley is young at only nineteen, we think we’d marry Liam right now, if he asked us. The pair met while filming The Last Song and although they haven’t yet set a date we think the bash will be one crazy party.
