There was some fantastic news this week for little Molly McNally who has been battling Stage 4 Neuroblastoma for the last year.

The six-year-old received some welcome news this week, much to the delight of her family, friends and loyal legion of supporters.

“We got fantastic news on Molly’s assessments that she did last week. This new chemo is really doing its job and the results show that the five hotspots on her bones have now become two,” a post on the Molly McNally Miracle Trust’s Facebook page, which is run by Molly’s parents, reads.

“To say we are happy beyond belief is an understatement. She is some little woman. Molly started cycle five of her chemo on Tuesday and is in Crumlin every day this week until Saturday, so not much of a mid-term break for our family but this news makes up for that.

“Thanks to you all for your well wishes and lovely messages, it gives us great support knowing so many people are thinking of Molly.”

Molly still needs further treatment abroad however, and so tomorrow, Saturday, November 15th sees another major fundraising event for the brave little girl as the Miles 4 Molly run will take place. The registration desk and start line/finish lines are located at the junction of Watermill Road and James Larkin Road, near St Anne’s Park in Raheny. The event kicks off from 9am.

Molly’s cousin Katie O’Connor also released a song for her this year, which is still available to download, and there are more details of upcoming events on their Facebook page.
