A vaccination is being developed which could potentially help people shed up to ten per cent of their body weight.

The vaccine, which has been nicknamed the ‘flab jab,’ fights obesity by engaging the immune system. It fools the body into making antibodies which increases metabolism and in turn encourages weight loss.

According to research the injection could help people lose up to ten per cent of their body weight in a matter of days.

At present, the vaccine has been tested on mice but there is still a very long way to go. After all further testing is needed on larger animals, as is research into the effects of the jab, before there is even talk of testing it on people.
