A 16-year-old US student has admitted that he planned to kill his parents and carry out a school shooting but postponed it after getting too drunk.
According to Gawker, Sash Nemphos from Maryland planned to “use a handgun, homemade bombs, and a weapon he hoped to steal from a police officer to kill as many people as possible and commit suicide” at George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology on a Friday but postponed the attack after drinking too much before class and forgetting to bring the bombs.
However, when police visited the student’s home in connection to the theft of cars at a nearby restaurant on Saturday, the boy’s father took an officer aside and said his handgun had been stolen from his workplace a few months before and he was worried his son may have taken it.
When repeatedly questioned, Sash admitted that he had been planning the atrocity after being bullied for years and police later found a suicide note, a gun, homemade explosives and a journal outlining his plan in the house.
He has now been charged with possession of a destructive device, possession of a dangerous weapon on school property, and theft.
