Ben Howard has just been added to the incredible line-up for the long-running series Other Voices.
Dingle is to be graced once again with incredible music acts that include Young Fathers, Delorentos, All We Are and Damien Rice.
Since its beginning, Other Voices has provided a platform for fresh new, young, creative vocal talent.
Howard is the final act secured to play at St. James’ Church for the 13th season of the show following three sell-out dates at Dublin’s Olympia and a headline 3 Arena show next year.
Recordings for the show will take place on Friday 12th, Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th December with Love/Hate and Game of Thrones actor Aidan Gillen returning to present alongside BBC Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens.
Friday 12th – Ben Howard / Buke & Gase / Ibeyi / King Creosote / The Lost Brothers
Saturday 13th – Damien Rice / Melanie De Biasio / Wild Beasts / Young Fathers
Sunday 14th – All We Are / Delorentos / Jessie Ware / Walking On Cars
Music from the church will be streamed live on http://www.rte.ie and to venues and pubs around the town each night and the series is due to be broadcast in early 2015.
Earlier in the year, show creator Philip King had this to say about a dozen years of success: “Year twelve of Other Voices has coincided with a brilliant year for music in Ireland. We pressed the record button in Dingle and Derry and captured some really powerful music that we are delighted to share with you.
“These recordings were made in the intimate surroundings of St. James Church, Dingle and The Glassworks, Derry. The performances are personal, passionate and powerful. There is something that happens when artist and audience connect. This collection is shot through with that passion”.
