It’s a very contentious subject but a group of judges officially named the Best Bar In Ireland at a ceremony in Dublin last night.
Hundreds of representative from the industry attended the Bar Of The Year Awards 2014 and it was The Central Bar in Navan that walked away with the coveted title of ‘Bar Of The Year’ in recognition of “its creative menus, excellent customer service and knowledgeable staff”.
The Central made it a double on the night as it was also presented with the ‘Best Modern Irish Cooking in a Bar’ award.

Outside Space of the Year – The Terrace Carlow, Co. Carlow
Style Bar of the Year – The Liquor Rooms, Co. Dublin
Staff Personality of the Year – Langton House Hotel/The Marble City Bar, Food and Beverage – Richie Broaders Co. Kilkenny
Tourist Bar of the Year – Kyteler’s Inn, Co. Kilkenny
Bar Manager of the Year – The Shelbourne, Bar Manager – Ivan King, Co. Dublin
Outstanding Customer Service Awards – Maple Bar Hotel Westport, Co.Mayo
Connacht Bar of the Year – Flanagans Gastro Pub, Co. Mayo
