Bridesmaids star, Melissa McCarthy revealed to an Australian radio show this morning that she would be happy to star in a Bridesmaids sequel.
The comedienne was speaking to The Kyle and Jackie O Show to promote her new movie Tammy and was asked if there was to be a follow-up to the 2011 hit comedy.
Presenter Jackie O stated that Bridesmaids co-writer, Kristen Wiig, has said that there is not a sequel in the planning, but asked if Melissa would like to see a second movie.
“I had such a good time doing that movie,” said 44-year-old Melissa. “Every single day on that movie was ridiculously fun. At some point if Kristen Wiig and (co-writer) Annie Mumolo say, ‘You know what, we wrote another one’, I would be tickled pink to do it,” she continued.
“Those ladies wrote a pretty killer script, so I’ll leave it up to them.”
The hit movie saw Melissa receive an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
