It’s not unusual to hear people taking pride of appearance with their car. A wax, a polish, or covering the bodywork in a million individual Swarovski pieces.
Daria Radionova spent more than £85,000 on her Mercedes CLS 350, and even covered her car in crystals to celebrate her 21st birthday.
But with just two weeks of driving the glitzy car, Daria has decided to sell the unique car to raise cash for the Manchester Dogs’ Home which was burnt down in September.
Daria decided to put her car up for auction on ebay, posting the initial bidding price at £89,999:
“I’ve not had it for very long but I had driven it for ten days before I decided to put it on an eBay auction. I want to sell it to support charities – the Manchester Dogs Home and also a charity in Moldova that helps dogs. I saw the story about the Manchester Dogs Home and it was a very sad story. I want to help.
“I love cats and dogs. They are amazing. I’m not sure how much it will make. I’ve already had more than 2,000 views and a few offers. We’ll see.”
Daria added that she hopes the car will attract attention and help support the cause. She currently has 33 bids on her auction page:
“I wanted to have something unique and do something special. Everywhere I go people stop to have a look at it.
“It gets lots of attention from people walking by and in cars. Sometimes I think they might crash. The auction ends next Thursday (16th).”
