Sinéad O’Connor has announced that she is to pen a book of memoirs that is set to dish all the dirt on her past, including all the intimate details of her sex life.

The book will be the singer’s first and is set to hit our shelves in 2016. It will tell the story of her life and also promises to dish “the sexual dirt on everyone I’ve ever slept with.”

“I’ve never stopped expressing myself in my music, and now, with a book,” said O’Connor in a statement.

The 47-year-old’s book does not yet have a title, though publication with US Blue Rider Press and with Penguin Ireland has been confirmed.

According to a Blue Rider press release the book will show her “turbulent upbringing in Ireland; her breakout as an artist with 1987’s The Lion and The Cobra and her nine subsequent albums; her controversial opinions and actions, as well as her personal and musical struggles and triumphs, through to the present day.”

The book is being lauded as “fearlessly honest” and that there will be “enormous interest” in it when it goes on sale.

The singer released her latest album I’m Not Bossy, I’m The Boss in August of this year, the first musical release since she underwent a “serious breakdown” in 2012.
