Masterchef presenter Gregg Wallace is the first celebrity to be voted off this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Gregg and his professional dance partner Aliona Vilani left the show this evening after participating in a ‘dance-off’ with Jennifer Gibney, star of Mrs Brown’s Boys, and her partner Tristan MacManus.
After hearing the results, Gregg thanked Aliona for her patience and said that the competition “was the most terrifying thing” he had ever done.

“What I liked most was practising because it wasn’t so scary. If I come again can you all just watch me while I practice?” continued Gregg.
Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Toiniolo all voted to keep Jennifer and Tristan. Head judge, Len Goodman, said he would also have opted for them, if given the opportunity to vote.
Jake Wood, otherwise known as Max Branning in Eastenders, wowed judges and viewers alike, topping the leaderboard.
