One Direction have been accused of stealing a riff used on new single Steal My Girl.
Hayley Williams of pop-punk band Paramore took to Twitter this week to highlight the similarity between the beginning of the boyband’s new single and New Found Glory’s It’s Not Your Fault, saying the piano riff “could not sound any more” like the NFG track.
Wary of the hordes of Directions ready to pounce, she followed up the post with another saying that blamed lay squarely at the feet of whoever wrote the song.
I realize that I’m gonna get hate from a very large fanbase for that. But really, it has more to do w/ whoever pitched or cowrote the song.
