It was in relation to an unpaid tax bill.

Mutya Buena has been declared bankrupt by a High Court judge this week, according to reports this morning.

The singer, who was an original member of the girl group Sugababes, was apparently chased in relation to an unpaid tax bill earlier this month.

Last year Mutya (29) reunited with Siobhan Donaghy and Keisha Buchanan (the other original Sugababes members) to form the band MKS.

Their single, entitled Flatline, failed to reach the top 50. Since then, she is said to have been doing PR appearances and modelling jobs.
