National radio broadcaster Louise McSharry has opened up about her battle against cancer.
The 31-year-old, who revealed last month that she had been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, has spoken about undergoing chemotherapy on her Instagram account.
She wrote: “In case anyone was wondering, at its kindest, chemo basically gives you a three day hangover without any of the joy of actually getting drunk and having fun… Although, it’s life-saving capabilities are said to be worthwhile.”
Louise has also shaved her head following her diagnosis. She posted a picture of her new hairstyle on her account earlier today, alongside which she wrote: “Hair today, gone tomorrow.”
One follower wrote beside the snap: “The pink hair was great, but honestly it just detracted from your flippin gorgeous eyes!! You look AMAZE!! [sic]”.
