Olympic medallist Rebecca Adlington has tied the knot with fellow swimmer Harry Needs.
The 25-year-old, who won two gold medals in Beijing back in 2008 before claiming two bronzes at London 2012, got married at The Ashes in Staffordshire.
Speaking about feeling confident on her big day, she told HELLO! magazine: “I nearly lost two stone in the jungle and perhaps another four or five pounds since then. So it was a great kick start, and I feel better for it.
“But I don’t like it when people assume you’re really happy because you’re thin. I’m not suddenly confident because I have lost weight, I’m happy because I’m marrying the love of my life.”
Rebecca, who appeared in the most recent series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, said that it was a very emotional ceremony, for which she and Harry wrote their own vows.
“The ceremony was so personal, which was exactly what we wanted,” she explained. “I love the fact that Harry was in bits before I ever reached him.”
