Jimi Jamison, Lead Singer of Survivor Dies at 63

There was sad news this morning when it was announced that Jimi Jamison, lead singer of US band, Survivor had died aged just 63.

The singer is perhaps most famous for being co-writer and vocalist of I’m Always Here which became the iconic theme tune of Baywatch.

Jamison joined band Survivor in 1984, following their success with Eye of the Tiger which featured in Rocky III.

Other hits over the years included The Moment of Truth, which was the theme song for The Karate Kid.

The band expressed their grief on their Facebook page stating: “The entire Survivor family is very shocked and saddened.”
