Chelsea Clinton has announced that she is leaving her post as special correspondent at NBC after three years with the network.
In a statement, the former First Daughter, who is currently expecting a baby with her husband, said she was leaving the network “to continue focusing on my work at the Clinton Foundation and as Marc and I look forward to welcoming our first child.”
Chelsea, daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton, was receiving an annual salary of $600,000 at the station. Her work there included making good news story packaged for the network’s “Making A Difference” series.
Given her sporadic appearances, the money was said to equate to approximately $26,724 for every minute she was on-air.
As of last January, her contract was changed to a month-to-month one.
