Many of you are getting a little tired of clips of the Ice Bucket Challenge flooding your Twitter timelines and Facebook homepages, but this news will help you remember just exactly what it is all about, as the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association has just announced the total of monies raised to date.
The Ice Bucket Challenge has generated a whopping €350,000 and it is a figure that continues to rise following the constant public support.
The social media charity craze began in the US last week in a bid to raise awareness for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), a progressive neurodegenerative disease, referred to as Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in Ireland.
RTÉ News‘ Health Correspondent, Fergal Bowers, shared the update on Twitter just a few moments ago.
