John and Corrine Clarkson decided to invest some time making their own deep fried treat, and created the world’s first deep-fried alcohol. The couple even launched their unusual products for £3 a piece at a local event, selling out within hours.
So what is the magic cocktail for deep fried alcohol?
Taking a traditional sherry trifle for inspiration, the pair soaked the sponge in Baileys, cider and sour apple schnapps before placing the soaked cakes in a deep fat fryer.
