This will warm your heart on a grey Monday morning.
Rugby legend Paul O’Connell was among the most vocal of Donal Walsh’s supporters, frequently championing the brave teen’s anti-suicide message. In a documentary that aired after Donal’s sad passing in May of last year, O’Connell spoke of how he was “inspired” by the young man and has formed a genuine friendship with the Walsh family during Donal’s short life.
Today, the Munster stalwart took to his Twitter account to share a touching moment in that continuing friendship. O’Connell posted a picture of himself and Donal’s father enjoying a cup of tea. The pair proudly posed with a copy of Donal’s Mountain, the book penned by Fionnbar Walsh in memory of his son.
Nice to have a best selling author over for tea. ‘Donal’s Mountain’. Brilliant read. @DonalLiveLife pic.twitter.com/CPCr0YjDip
