In what is a pretty shocking move by NBC, the critically acclaimed show Community has been cancelled by the network.
The show, which had run to 5 seasons, has been cancelled by NBC due in part to low ratings, although the team involved with the series were hoping to make it to “six seasons and a movie.”
Creator Dan Harmon had previously stated that he expected the series to be renewed again and it had been suggested as such by NBC bosses.
He posted the below tweet to his Twitter account to thank fans:

However, there have been no reports as of yet if the comedy will be picked up by another network.
