Vin Diesel has shared the first snaps of filming with Paul Walker’s brothers Caleb and Cody, posting a touching tribute to the late actor on his Facebook page.
Filming for Fast & Furious 7 is back on track, after Universal Pictures confirmed that Walker’s two brothers, Caleb and Cody, would join the cast to “complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production”.
Reports from MTV News suggested that following Paul Walker’s death, several ideas were floated as to how to carry on with Fast & Furious 7 without character Brian O’Conner. Filming was delayed for a year before the production team made the move to hire Paul’s brothers to film the remaining scenes of the action movie.
Posting an update to his Facebook page, Vin Diesel wrote:
“When I heard the news, I left the production, grabbed a plane and took my family and Michelle back to LA… drove directly to his parent’s house…
His Father said, Paul loved you Vin… I awkwardly and nervously said, aw come on… then he said… you don’t have to get along every second to love each other… so true.
P.s. After spending time with his biological brothers, I must say to the parents, you raised some great kids.”
