There are many reactions you might expect to get from an airline when you tweet their account asking for freebies. Pornographic imagery is perhaps not one of those reactions.
US Airways was responsible for one of the worst social media fails we’ve seen in a long, long time on Monday night, when they sent an explicit image in response to a customer complaint.
The airline tweeted the picture, which depicted a naked woman with a model plane in her vagina, to a customer by mistake, but took almost an hour to remove the offending post.

Later last night the airline apologised to its 424,000 Twitter followers, saying: “We apologize for an inappropriate image recently shared as a link in one of our responses. We’ve removed the tweet and are investigating”.
