We all have a special woman in our lives: from Mams, sisters, friends, cousins, aunts and neighbours.
While they might be very special to us personally, not everyone knows why and we think it’s high time these woman got the recognition they deserve.
We have teamed up with Littlewoods Ireland to organise a special prize and every week we will have a voucher to give away.
Our woman this week is Sarah Thomas, nominated by her friend Tracey Walker.
Tracey tells us, in her own words, exactly why Sarah is a deserving winner:
“On May 9th 2013, my Cousin Leon Thomas (30) suffered a massive heart attack and died while out jogging around The Lough in Cork with his son Kieran.”
“When he died, Leon left behind his pregnant wife Sarah and their three children, Kieran (8), Isabelle (3) and Ronan (2).”
“Sarah was 13 weeks pregnant at the time and where she got her strength I’ll never know. She gave birth to their son Darragh on 3rd November of last year.”
“Sarah is an unbelievably strong woman, even after the devastation of losing Leon she still gets up every morning and does everything for her kids. She is both a Mum and a Dad and deserves a treat more than anyone I know.”
