Harry Potter Spin-Off To Be a Trilogy

Calling all Harry Potter fans!

Rebecca McKnight

We have no doubt that Harry Potter fans across the globe will be happy to hear that JK Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is being turned into a film trilogy.

Last year it was announced that the book, framed as one of the wizard’s Hogwarts textbooks, was going to be adapted for the big screen and now the New York Times is reporting that it will be turned into not one but three films.

The franchise, which is not a prequel to Harry Potter but will be set about 70 years before his birth, will focus on a character called Newt Scamander and is supposedly set in New York.

According to other media reports, it was Warner Bros chief Kevin Tsujihara who persuaded Rowling to adapt the book, which was published back in 2001, for the big screen.

But we don’t really care who persuaded her, the fact is that it’s happening and we are VERY excited!
