A waitress was so inspired by a customer’s kind gesture that she wrote her a note telling her how much it meant to the recipient.
Kristen Kinzle was eating breakfast at Mimi’s Cafe in Victorville, California, last week when she noticed an elderly couple nearby. Afraid that her own table was being too loud, she decided to take care of their bill.
After finding this out, the woman in the couple told waitress Stephanie Miller that it meant a lot because her companion had just lost his brother.
Stephanie then left a note for Kristen explaining the situation and how her gesture meant more than she could have known.
It read: “I just wanted to tell you that you did an amazing thing paying for that tables breakfast. They are in town because that man just lost his brother. So you lifted their spirits, even if just for a moment. Have a nice day! [sic]”.
Stephanie told KCAL 9 News: “I knew there was no way to tell the table what happened without breaking down myself. So I put it in a note.”
Kristen Kinzle’s kind gesture didn’t go unnoticed.
