80-year-old Betty Simpson is battling lung cancer and her great grandson Zach is determined to make the time she has left pretty special.
He set up an Instagram account for Grandma Betty, updated regularly with pictures and videos, which now has over 84,000 followers.
The clip below shows Grandma Betty dancing to Pharrell’s Happy and we couldn’t stop smiling when we watched it.
According to news outlet WDRB, Betty enjoys the posts and often asks for updates on how many followers she has.
As well as dancing and posing for the camera, the reality of Betty’s ongoing battle with cancer is documented through the Instagram account.
“The idea was to start an account for my friends who know Grandma Betty,” Zach, who lives in Louisville, Kentucky told WDRB. “And it turned out to be something everybody started to enjoy.”
“I’m glad I get to share her story because I want to remember her forever,” he said.
Betty’s sweet smile certainly warmed our hearts on this Tuesday evening.
