We all have a special woman in our lives: it might be your mother, sister, aunt, cousin or a friend.
Chances are you don’t see them every day but they are always at the end of the phone when you need them, and this person always seems to know the right thing to say, no matter what the situation.
Last week, we asked our readers to nominate their real women, and first up, we have Róisín Condron.
Róisín was nominated by her friend Aenya Gleeson who considers her to be pretty damn special.
Aaenya had to undergo an operation lately and as her boyfriend was working, Róisín stepped in to mind her friend.
Describing her friend as a ‘tea nurse’, Aaenya said Róisín was the first person to volunteer to take care of her, bringing DVDs, sweet treats, and made copious amounts of tea.

“She always sees the bright side to everything and anyone that is around her for long enough, generally has a pain in their jaw from laughing” said Aaenya.
“I know she really would love this prize because she is saving up to go back to college in September and would enjoy a Littlewoods shopping spree.”
