Swot Up On Style – Here Begins Our A-Z Of All Things Fashion

Cathy Donohue

You could study style for years, and still have scope to learn more.

An interesting topic that doesn’t always get the love it deserves, with some dismissing it as frivolous.

We wear clothes everyday (although a duvet day now and then is compulsory), and wearing something you love can often change your mood.

In homage to the dynasty that is style, we are starting an A-Z hoping to bring you a little insider information on one of our favourite subjects.

ASOS

Online retailer ASOS has taken the fashion world by storm since it launched in 2000. Purse friendly pieces inspired by high fashion looks means that shopping online is more popular than ever before. A vintage section, gorgeous accessories, more denim than you can even imagine and dresses by the dozen. Browsing on your lunchbreak… yes, us too.

Anna Dello Russo

Anna Dello Russo is quirky, cool and very unique. An important style tip is to be yourself and not care what others think but we know that’s often easier said than done. As editor at-large and creative consultant for Vogue Japan, she certainly knows what she’s talking about when it comes to fashion. Her collection with H&M was well received and her outfit combinations are always a talking point.

Alexander Mc Queen

British fashion designer Lee Alexander McQueen founded the Alexander McQueen label after leaving a position as chief designer at Givenchy. McQueen won the award for British Fashion Designer of the year four times between 1996 and 2003. Sadly, he passed away in 2010. McQueen’s long-term assistant Sarah Burton took over as creative director of the brand after his death.

Allure

Allure is a women’s magazine, based in the United States. It was founded by editor-in-chief Linda Wells in 1991 and is published by Condé Nast. Many big names from the fashion pack have starred on the cover of Allure including Victoria Beckham, Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen and Heidi Klum to name but a few.
