As the old saying goes ‘sex sells’, and according to the folk at T-Fal, it is the perfect way to sell an iron.
This Canadian advertisement for T-Fal irons stretches the imagination, as two neighbouring women converse about one lady’s date, via steam.
According to Jezebel the ad agency’s press note read:
“In a push to get into online video, T-Fal Canada was looking for something that would push the limits of what the brand was comfortable with. They also needed to highlight the strengths of the product: More powerful steam that lasted longer! The concept was simple: two women having a conversation using the steam from their irons. The woman with the traditional iron keeps running out of steam mid-sentence.”
We’re all for creative thinking and humorous adverts, but really, two women having a “steamy” conversation with irons?! You can do better than that T-Fal.
