IN PICTURES: John Rocha at London Fashion Week

The Irish-based designer brought ruffles and romance to the runway.

It was ruffles and romance for Rocha this year at London Fashion Week.

One of the longest standing designers on the calendar at LFW, John Rocha somehow manages to make his show a standout highlight every season, and this year was no different.

On Saturday the Hong Kong born designer who calls Ireland his home send a gorgeously ornate and dramatic collection down the runway, inspired by his trips to Iceland and the amazing light and natural wonders of the island.

Speaking after the show he said; “There’s a certain part of the year when it’s all dark, and then it’s all bright. I love the transition and all the different textures there”.

The palette was predominantly black, but some pops of grey, red and forrest green took to the runway too, along with one gown covered in applique flowers.

His daughter Simone will show at LFW later this week, proving that exquisite taste and incredible talent runs in the family.
