17-year-old Matt Peterson really wanted to take Miley Cyrus to his High School prom, and so the teenager put together a video invitation asking the star to attend it with him.
“I have been a fan of yours from the beginning. You’ve changed my life, and I want to repay you by giving you the best night of your life,” Matt wrote alongside the video which has since gone viral.
Yesterday 21-year-old Miley responded to the request.
Dear Matt Peterson, I don’t think I’ll be able to make it to prom BUT why don’t you come to my AZ show & hang w me? Don’t forget a corsage

The star politely declined, however asked if Matt would like to attend one for her shows instead.
