Coronation Street fans are predicting a heartbreaking death after the latest behind-the-scenes photos.
The long-running soap took to social media earlier today [August 31] to give fans a glimpse at what they had been filming recently.
But eagle-eyed fans began to fear the worst for one character after noticing what appear to be sympathy cards on Ken Barlow’s mantle.
Combined with the fact that Beth appears to be very, very upset in the photo, many people began to wonder if these were the signs pointing towards a heartbreaking death for Sinead Tinker.
“Ken, Beth & Carla in Ken’s house with some sad news due the cards on the cabinet,” one person wrote.
“It’s a Sympathy card on the dresser. If you zoom in you can see the cross on it. Sinead is dead,” someone else wrote.
“Cards on the cabinet, and Beth isn’t wearing colourful clothes like usual, and she looks upset, meaning something is wrong,” another person commented.
The photo comes a few weeks after Katie McGlynn’s exit from Coronation Street was reportedly been revealed.
The actress, who has played Sinead Tinker for the last six years, is reported to be leaving the long-running soap.
And while McGlynn’s exit has yet to be officially confirmed by Coronation Street bosses, new reports have revealed the devastating exit storyline in the works for her character.
According to The Sun, Sinead will lose her cancer battle, in what is being called “an unforgettable departure set to leave viewers in tears.”
The Underworld machinist will get the heartbreaking news that all of the treatments she had been undergoing have failed – and she will be given the option to stay at home, or move to a hospice.
A TV insider said:
“From her two rocky relationships to the mini-bus crash, she’s been in some of Corrie’s most captivating storylines.
“And producers will be sad to see Katie leave the soap, but she will make an unforgettable departure which is set to leave viewers in tears.”
