It feels like just yesterday when we were shedding a tear of joy at the emotional scenes from the Arrivals lounge in Dublin Airport, but now, we are shedding tears of a very different kind.
Heartbreaking scenes have been taking place throughout the country this weekend as relatives, friends and loved ones have flocked to the Departures section of Irish airports to bid farewell, once more, to their loved ones.
Thousands of Irish people are expected to fly out of the country in the coming 48 hours as the festive season draws officially to a close, and some of these tweets will really pull on your heart strings. Sniffle.
